The orchestra performs Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, op. 61 during the concert, “A Visit to Vienna,” at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at Judson Erne Auditorium, 1400 25th St. in Columbus. Tickets are $5 to $45. Information: 812-376-2638 or thecip.org.

Comic Dave Dugan’s dry wit and trademark bass voice have been a part of the Columbus comedy scene since the late 1980s at the original Commons, where he was among those who could attract crowds of nearly 400 people per show. He brings his seasoned humor to town at 8 p.m. May 6 at the Eagles Lodge, 930 Washington St. in Columbus. Tickets are $20. Information: 812-376-7075.
