Jerome Stevenson Brown, 81, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2016.

Born December 8, 1934, in Washington, D.C., to Charles and Jeanette Fay (Meyers) Brown, he served eight years in the U.S. Navy before starting his civilian career as an engineer with General Electric, Electronic Associates Incorporated (EAI), Bendix Corporation, Sheffield Measurement and retired from the Buck Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Jerry was a man who enjoyed life immensely and loved his church. He was fond of Italian sports cars, especially Alfa Romeos; loved music, especially classical and Celtic; and had a keen Irish sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anne (Brown) Heitzenrater DeBusk.

Jerry was devoted to his wife and best friend, Beverly (Woodin) Brown; and proud of his two daughters, Nancy (Brown) Weston, of Rome, Ohio, and Joyce (Brown) Bentle of Bright, Indiana. He is also survived by his sons­-in-­law, Scott Weston and Jeffrey Bentle; six grandchildren, Katey, Alec, Michael and Thomas Weston, Phillip and Kati Bentle (Sam Horrocks); a great­-grandchild, Gavin Horrocks; and many more family and friends all over the country.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 3500 West 106th St., Carmel, Indiana. Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held for the family at the Marion National Cemetery the following day.
