Shelbyville
Kathryn Goode, 60, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at Major Hospital. She was born July 20, 1955, to Kenneth McCorkle Sr. and Bonnie Lou (Hughes) McCorkle, in Columbia, Kentucky. She married Richard Dunagan, and he preceded her in death Nov. 1, 2000. She then married David Goode in 2002, and he preceded her in death in 2010.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Lynn Dillman of Indianapolis; siblings, Brenda Lummis and husband, Larry, of Shelbyville, Pete McCorkle and companion, Shannon Moore of Shelbyville, Darlene Cowan of Columbus, Carol Andrews and husband, Andy, of Shelbyville, Pam Merriman and husband, Rick, of Columbus, Charles McCorkle and wife, Tracy, of Shelbyville, Bridgett McCorkle and companion, Robert Wilder, and James McCorkle, of Shelbyville; and three grandchildren, James Dillman, Richard Dillman and Carolann Hornback.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers, Kenneth McCorkle Jr. and Archie McCorkle; and a sister, Linda McCorkle-Griffith.
Mrs. Goode lived in the area for 50 years after moving from Kentucky. She attended Shelbyville High School and was self employed by Kathy’s Cleaning Service for 20 years.
Kathy attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing and singing, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Trinity UMC, 714 Fair Ave., Shelbyville, with Pastor Seth Taylor officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Association of Shelby County through the funeral home.
