DENVER — Authorities say a man whose body was found after an apartment fire had been shot to death.

The Denver Post reports (http://tinyurl.com/hbwca89) the city medical examiner ruled Tuesday that the death of 29-year-old Shane Richardson was a homicide.

Richardson’s body was found May 2 in a second-floor apartment closet in a building that houses Rosenberg’s Bagels and Delicatessen.

Investigators say the cause of the fire hasn’t been determined. They have said they believe it started on the second floor.
