SALINA, Kan. — Police say 20 air mattresses have been stolen from an American Red Cross vehicle in Salina.

The Salina Journal ( ) reports that the theft happened last week at the North Central Kansas Chapter office.

Capt. Mike Sweeney says the driver’s window of the pickup truck was broken. A nylon restraining strap also was cut while the vehicle was parked. Loss and damage were estimated at $650.
