FLORENCE, Ala. — Crews are continuing to clean up after a weekend fire at the Shoals Theatre in Florence.

The TimesDaily reports (bit.ly/1T5DVsS) that some workers on Tuesday were clearing out smoke from the theater. Others were in the basement, working to restore plumbing and electric services to Rivertown Coffee Co.

The theater and coffee shop were damaged by a Friday morning fire that started in the basement of the theater.

Theater manager Steve Price said heat from the blaze broke out a front window in Rivertown Coffee Co. and melted waterlines underneath Shoals Theatre, but did not do any major structural damage.

Rivertown Coffee owner John Cartwright said he is hopeful to be open for business early next week.
