Scottsdale police say there’s no obvious sign of foul play in the death of a man whose body was found in a canal.

Police say the body was found floating face-down Wednesday morning in a canal along a bike path near East Roosevelt Street and North 77th Street.

Police the man was wearing athletic clothing and appeared to be in his 20s or 30s.

The investigation will continue with assistance from the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Scottsdale police say a person’s dead body has been found in a canal on the city’s south side.

Police say the body was found Wednesday morning floating face-down in a canal along a bike path near East Roosevelt Street and North 77th Street.

No additional information is immediately available, including the person’s gender, cause of death and how the body got in the canal.
