The Deckard Reunion Cemetery Association met May 15 at the family cemetery in Brown County, located beyond the T.C. Steele State Historic Site. The annual meeting included 21 people.
Bill and Regina Ault Young and Ronnie Deckard, son of Ollen and Vearl Deckard, were new attendees.
Ollen Henderson, the cemetery association president, presided over the meeting. Notably absent was long-time attender Jeannette Richart of Bloomington. Jeannie Deckard, widow of Tom Deckard, continued in her role of secretary/treasurer. Jim Ault agreed to continue in the role of vice-president. Norma Hillenburg’s term as trustee expired. Her son, Pete Hillenburg, was elected to take her place. Ollen Henderson was elected to continue as president.
Jim Ault led a crew in painting the front of the church building several weeks ago.
