The following Memorial Day closings have been announced:
- Columbus City Hall closed on Monday
- All Bartholomew County offices, including the Courthouse, closed on Monday.
- Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle license branches will be closed Saturday through Monday. All branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Tuesday.
- The Columbus City Utilities Office will be closed Monday. The office will reopen 7 a.m. Tuesday. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Solid Waste Management District Office, Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center at 720 S. Mapleton St. and the Bartholomew County Landfill will be closed closed on Monday.
- The post office in Columbus will be closed on Monday. Regularly scheduled mail delivery, post office box and caller services will also be suspended for the holiday. A self-service kiosk is available at the Columbus downtown post office on Monday for purchasing stamps, mailing a parcel or shipping an urgent letter or package. Mail will be delivered as scheduled on Tuesday, when regularly scheduled retail lobby hours resume.
