NORTH VERNON — A North Vernon died after her car collided with a semi at State Road 7 and State Road 750 at about 9:11 a.m. Friday.
Sonya Y. Craft, 76, was killed after her 2008 Mercury Sable hit a semi in the rear axle as the semi was clearing the intersection, said Sgt. Andrew Richmond, North Vernon Police spokesman.
Craft was taken to an Indianapolis hospital where she was pronounced dead, Richmond said.
The semi was driven by Michael F. Wright, La Peer, Michigan, Richmond said.
