Ernest W. Gant, 88, of Columbus, died on May 27, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Gant; daughters, Annette (Don) Righthouse of Austin, Phyllis (Chris) Newcomb of Seymour and Vivian (Chris) Abrue of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Terry (Rachel) Gant of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by children, Mary Jane Reno, Tommy Gant and an infant.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Burton at 6 p.m. Monday at Christ Fellowship Church, 125 Lind Dr., Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until time of service. Graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery by the Rev. Burton.
Arrangements were handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
