Columbus American Legion Post 24 will sponsor a fundraiser dinner and event from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 24 to raise money to send World War II veterans on an Honor Flight.
Planned at the Legion, 2515 25th St., the event will feature a pulled pork dinner for $8, which includes a sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw and potato salad, available for dining in, carryout or delivery.
Raffles, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing are also planned. Live music from 8 p.m. to midnight will be provided by Night Owl.
Proceeds will be used to benefit Indy Honor Flight, which takes World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor.
