NEW YORK — Police say a warehouse has collapsed in Brooklyn.

It happened around 9 p.m. in the Sunset Park neighborhood.

New York Police Department Sgt. Carlos Nieves said on Twitter that the building was reported to be empty at the time.

He says firefighters are searching a pile of rubble at the site as a precaution.

Police said there were no immediate reports of injuries.
