Don and Carol Layman of North Vernon recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married May 27, 1956, at Vernon Baptist Church by the Rev. A.E. Lacey.
Mr. Layman is retired from quality control at Cummins Inc.
Mrs. Layman retired from Jennings Community Hospital.

The couple have two children, Shelley (John) Wieske and Doug (Betty) Layman. They also have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
