James K. Miller, 88, of Crawfordsville, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
James was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the son of James Mac and Ruth Davison Miller.
He married Bettie M. James Jan. 1, 1952.
James retired from Arvin Industries after 38 years of service and was a member of Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse in Greenwood. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. David Blyth officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include his sons, Mike (Emily) Miller of Coatsville, Indiana, Timmy (Lori) Miller of Pocomoke, Maryland, David (Nora) Miller of Glasgow, Kentucky and James K. (Deenen) Miller II of Crawfordsville; a brother, Earl (Telenia) Miller of Mary Oaks, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bettie; three brothers; and five sisters.
