• the person who spoke up and told the line jumper at the convenience store Wednesday to go to the back of the line and wait, just as the other 10 of us had to do.

• the newspaper for the wonderful article on Sophia Reynolds.

• Zwanzigz for great customer service and making us another pizza to correct a mistake, from the girls in the corner booth.

• Katey of Lowe’s garden center for helping me select my plants Tuesday, from Mary.

• Allison Gibson for exceptional customer service at Centra.

• the kind gentleman who bought our lunch Tuesday at Applebee’s.

• Marita Burton and Mary Lou Bridges at CRH for going above and beyond for a patient.

• Burt’s Pest Control and Terminex for being honest when they could have charged me for nothing.

• the mowers along State Road 11 in Garden City for removing their helmets and placing them over their hearts as the funeral procession passed by, from the Lucas family.

• all of the people who helped the stranded motorist Tuesday evening on Goeller Boulevard, especially the guy who brought water and pop, and Nick Seavers for helping to get a tow truck.

• the person who turned in my lost Steelers cap at Walmart, from a die-hard Cardinals fan.

• those who don’t realize that taking pictures of deteriorating, old buildings is an art form called urban exploration and is very similar to taking rusted scrap metal and turning it into public art.

• people who complain about everything, especially if it’s about a dog or cat.

• the person who tried to jump in line at the cash register when you saw the line of 10 folks waiting Wednesday morning at the convenience store.

• whoever complained about the deteriorating building shot as it was a great photo.

• The Republic for putting a beauty contest story on the front page.

• people who confuse free speech with state-sanctioned discrimination.

• those for a photo that was an unflattering depiction of Native Americans in Tuesday’s newspaper and the adults that deemed it OK to dress children in such attire.

• illegal residents who are drug dealers.

• people who park their cars out in the road when they live off of a county road.

• the employee at the government office for being rude.

• renters who trash a property and then feel it is unfair when they are held accountable for their actions.

• the person who dumped their ash tray in the shopping center parking lot.

• the rude neighbor who complains about the noise of children and a dog in the pool/yard on a beautiful summer afternoon.
