Roger D. Greer, 75, of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church. Brother Ricky Persons will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Vernon Cemetery next to his late wife, Pauline, at 12:15 p.m. A gathering of friends and relatives will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Nix; a daughter, Cindy Brooks of Hayden; step-children, Debbie Parkhurst and J.R. “Opie” Bohannon; sister, Leeta Gibson; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Matern.
