Crowning glory: 4-H Fair gets its princess Saturday

The official start of the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair is about a month away, but its first event is Saturday.

The 4-H Fair Princess contest will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Columbus East High School auditorium.

Twelve contestants ages 12 to 15 will compete for the title and the opportunity to serve as the princess for this year’s fair, which runs July 8 to 16.

The format is similar to the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair Queen pageant, which includes interviews and modeling themed and formal wear.
