High school state tournaments were in full swing last weekend, the final time of the season or careers for some athletes to try and reach their dreams of individual or team success.
Bartholomew County was well represented for softball, track, girls tennis and boys golf.
Hauser came extremely close to a repeat trip to the Class A softball state championship game. North’s Katrina May placed third in the pole vault. East’s Rhett Myers finished second in the discus. North’s girls tennis team advanced to the state quarterfinals. East edged North for the boys sectional golf title.
And, many other local athletes concluded their seasons with good performances in the tournament.
