Laveta Faye Roberson, 58, of Columbus, died at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Laveta enjoyed riding motorcycles and listening to any kind of music. She played the accordion and piano. For 21 years, Laveta worked as a Qualified Medical Assistant. Spending time with family and

friends was important to her, as was her dog, Alea.

She was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, Aug. 1, 1957, to the late Emmett and Odie Cook Roberson.

Survivors include her children, Audria (Anthony Berg) Roberson and Zach (Nicole) Roberson both of Columbus; grandchildren, Cyerra, Lyrik, Westley, Sebatian Roberson, Gypsie Wurtz and Bryson Wurtz; sisters, Lorita London of Franklin, Lavella Roberson of Columbus and Lavenda Walden of Franklin; brother, Philip London of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brother, Junior Roberson; and companion, Ben Alexander.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Russ Caughron officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
