Crowd flips, as do pilots, for Aviation Day

The third annual Aviation Day at Columbus Municipal Airport on June 11 had something for everyone — for the estimated record crowd of 5,000 spectators.

The returning event featured a new attraction — a professional air show featuring the talents of four pilots: Michael Kennedy, Lee Leet, Michael Vaknin and Billy Werth.

The four professional airmen dazzled the crowd with their flips, spins and other death-defying airborne tricks.

Other activities featured at Aviation Day included an antique car show, aircraft displays and Touch-A-Truck.
