Taylorsville woman arrested after disturbance, car crash

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Taylorsville woman after she crashed her car into a tree following a disturbance reported in Taylorsville.

Jeannie Annette “Jenny” Medley, 43, 1540 Tannehill Road, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence-endangerment and driving while suspended with a prior conviction, deputies said.

Sgt. Kris Weisner was first sent to the 1500 block of Tannehill Road about the disturbance but then was sent to the crash at Walnut and Pearl streets in Taylorsville.

Weisner said Medley’s car had hit a tree, and Medley had facial injuries and appeared to be intoxicated. Medley told Weisner that she had been in an argument in the parking lot near the intersection before leaving in the vehicle, running off the road and hitting a tree.

Medley was treated and released from Columbus Regional Hospital and then taken to the Bartholomew County Jail, where she was released in lieu of $10,000 bond, jail officials said.
