Rotary Club receives presidential recognition

The Columbus Sunrise Rotary Club received a presidential citation for the 2015-16 Rotary Year.

The award was presented June 10 at the club’s meeting at Donner Center by Jim Bright, Rotary District Governor, who presented the citation to Gail Miller, president of the Sunrise Rotary Club.

Each year, the president of Rotary International sets goals for clubs to meet and the clubs work to obtain these goals, Miller explained. If a club succeeds in accomplishing the goals, the club receives a presidential citation. Each year, the goals are set to be more difficult to obtain and only about 10 percent of clubs gain this recognition.
