Frog Swim Lessons will continue Monday and run for two more weeks at Columbus North High School.

East boys swimmers can get pool time, work out
The Columbus East boys swim team will conduct open weight room sessions from 7 to 8 a.m. and open pool sessions from 8 to 9 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in June and July. Swimmers can report to the pool area.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes to host camps
Southern Indiana Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host its first FCA Tennis Camp on Monday through Thursday at Indiana University-Southeast for middle school and high school athletes.
The third annual FCA Leadership Camp will be July 11 to 13 at Camp Riverdale in Mitchell for middle school and high school athletes. The leadership camp focuses on teaching practical skills for Christian growth and the development of leaders for local FCA huddles.
IU hosting basketball camps for boys, girls
Indiana University men’s basketball coach Tom Crean is accepting registrations for his 2016 summer basketball camps for kids in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
The Tom Crean Basketball Academy will be Monday and Tuesday for boys entering grades 6 to 12. The Player Development and Competition Camp will be June 26 to 29 for boys entering grades 5 to 12.
The Little Hoosiers Basketball Academy will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 13 to 15 and July 18 to 20 for boys and girls entering kindergarten through fourth grade. The Junior Hoosiers Basketball Academy will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 13 to 15 and July 18 to 20 for boys and girls entering Grades 4 to 6.

Coach to conduct free softball clinics for girls
Veteran softball coach Eddie Loweth is conducting a free softball clinic for girls on Thursdays at Northside Middle School. Grades 2 and younger will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and grades 3 to 6 will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The clinic will focus on hitting, baserunning, pitching, fielding and throwing. Girls should bring a bat, helmet and glove.

Columbus North boys hosting basketball camps
The Columbus North boys basketball staff and players are hosting a shooting camp from 9 a.m. to noon June 27 to 30 for boys entering Grades 3 through 8. Cost is $100 per camp session and includes an Adidas camp T-shirt.

Hanover College to host boys basketball camps
Hanover College is hosting boys basketball camps this summer for the 50th consecutive year. There will be a Post/Perimeter Skills Camp from June 27 to 29 and a Fundamental Skills Camps July 5 to 8.

Hoosier Pro Wrestling to host canned food drive
Hoosier Pro Wrestling will host the 14th annual Fill The Shelves, a canned food drive fundraiser, at 6:30 p.m. July 2 in the parking lot of Aaron’s, 2675 N. National Road.
Admission is free with six cans of food per person. No other outside food, drink or coolers are permitted, but concessions will be available.
City Golf Tournament to be played at 3 courses
This year’s City Golf Tournament will be July 9, 10 and 17 for men and July 16 and 17 for women.
Men will play Harrison Lake and Greenbelt the first weekend, with half the field playing each course on July 9, then playing the other on July 10, and all men will play at Otter Creek on July 17. Women will play Harrison Lake on July 16 and Otter Creek on July 17.
Entry fee is $100.
North football to host Golf for the Gridiron
The Columbus North football program will host Golf for the Gridiron on July 15 at Harrison Lake Country Club.
Proceeds will help provide uniforms and safe equipment.

Parks and Rec, PAAL to host parent/child golf
Columbus Parks and Recreation and PAAL are partnering to offer a Parent and Child golf outing at 9 a.m. July 16 at Par 3 Golf Course. Cost is $35 per individual or $120 for a foursome.
North plans ‘I’m Possible’ basketball skills camp
Micah Lancaster’s “I’m Possible” basketball Elite Skills Camp will return to Columbus North from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 16 and 17 for boys and girls entering grades 4 to 12.
“I’m Possible” also is offering a Kids Camp from 3 to 4 p.m. July 16 for boys and girls entering grades 1 to 3.
Cost is $199 for the Elite Skills Camp and $35 for the Kids Camp. Players should bring their own basketball, notebook and lunch or lunch |money for the Elite Skills Camp sessions.

Ritz Memorial to benefit hockey players in need
The Columbus Youth Hockey Bryan Ritz Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing will be at 1 p.m. July 27 at Otter Creek.
Cost is $125 for an individual or $400 for a foursome, with dinner included, or $35 for dinner only. Spnosorships also are available. Proceeds will help give economically disadvantaged children the opportunity to become acquainted with hockey through the house league or continue to develop through the travel team program.

Baseball players can register for fall league
The High School Baseball Fall League, a network of wood-bat leagues in multiple states including Indiana, is open to all players who will be in high school next year. The six-week regular season will be played Sundays beginning Aug. 21.
Registration is $239 and is available until a week before the league begins. Players will receive a pro model wood birch bat, a team Dri-fit game jersey and a free college player profile.
Players can register individually and have the opportunity to enter the names of players they would like to be paired with under the “Teammate Request” section of the registration page at hsfbl.com. Teams that want to enter the league should contact the HSFBL at 937-417-1354 for details.
