Mary V. Konkle, 95, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:43 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Department.

Mrs. Konkle was born May 21, 1921, in Brownstown, to Harry B. and Bertha Louise Gillen Henderson.

A homemaker, Mrs. Konkle was a hostess and cashier at the former Bob-­O-­Link, Lee’s Inn and the Holiday Inn.

She was a member of Clifford United Methodist Church and was an avid reader.

She had a passion for music and taught piano lessons in her home. She was a people person and enjoyed decorating her home for Christmas, baking and cooking.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel J. (Rosemary) Collins of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Stephen J. (Mary) Collins of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Seth and Adam (Jayla) Collins, Lisa (Joe) Estep and Pam (Brian) Dunleavy; 11 great­-grandchildren; and a niece, Lyndy Simon of Naples, Florida.

Mrs. Konkle was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph B. Collins, Frank W. Cook, and Lawrence V. Konkle; and sister, Allegra Reed.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. Private burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.
