Rockwell Automation announced its plan to sell its Dodge mechanical and Reliance Electric motors and motor repair businesses, including the Columbus Rockwell Automation Dodge plant on 10th Street.

1991

In recognition of his volunteer activity at the Bartholomew County Historical Society, Dr. Griffith Marr was named winner of the second Tipton Award, named for the founder of Columbus for which the city was once named.

1966

Ellsworth Huffman, Columbus sanitation officer, made a plea for a raise in pay to $1.75 an hour for garbage department workers, citing low pay as the biggest reason in his difficulty in finding people to work on the city’s packer trucks.
