Steven C. Baute, Leesburg, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was born June 20, 1949, in Seymour, Indiana, to Carl and Ora (Mellencamp) Baute.
Steve was a graduate of Columbus High School and Valparaiso University. He lived in Indianapolis while working for United Parcel Service before retiring to Florida. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and School in Eustis, Florida.
Steve is survived by his wife, Marsha (Howard) Baute; brothers, Dennis Baute of Columbus, Indiana, and David Baute (Judy) of St. Joseph, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Lesa Henson (David) and Denise Taylor, and his mother-in-law, Louise Howard, all of Bloomington; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tim.
Visitation will be at The Funeral Chapel of Powell & Deckard in Bloomington on Saturday, June 25, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a service following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
