Carol J. Ritter, 89, of Indianapolis, formerly of Columbus, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Bethany Village in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Ritter was born November 21, 1926, in Gary, Indiana, to Hobert and Beulah LeFevers Robinson. She married John H. Ritter December 13, 1955. He preceded her in death November 1, 2001.
A homemaker, Mrs. Ritter enjoyed playing bingo, reading and working jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include children, Diane (Darryl) Short of Indianapolis, Richard (Cindy) Bierlein of Franklin and David (Beth) Bierlein of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Shannon (Duane) Gaither, Allie, April, Jason, Jeremy and Skot Bierlein and Brian Starks; and several great-grandchildren, including Jonathan Gaither.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Danny Bierlein; and a sister, Donna Cannon.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating.
Calling will be from noon until service time Monday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
