June Ann Vickers, 84, of Columbus, died at 11:20 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Mrs. Vickers was born October 9, 1931, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of John Paul and Nettie Holbrook Michael. She married Thomas H. Vickers August 11, 1956, in Martins Ferry. He survives.

June Ann was a graduate of Musingum College in New Concord, Ohio, and was a former elementary school teacher in Ohio and Indiana. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbus where she served as a volunteer, and also was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Ohio and Columbus and Harrison Lake Country Club.

She was a former Columbus Regional Hospital volunteer and a community volunteer, including Love Chapel and many others over the years. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid golfer.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Vickers of Columbus; son, Michael Thomas Vickers of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Diana Lynn (Ed) Olczyk of Long Grove, Illinois; son, Timothy Blake Vickers of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Cash officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
