William “Bill” and Mary Sproessig of Hope celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Bardstown, Kentucky, and a ride on the “My Old Kentucky Home” dinner train.
Mr. Sproessig and the former Mary Denning were married June 24, 1956, at First Christian Church in Madison by the Rev. James Farrel.
Mr. Sproessig retired from Cummins Engine Co. and Mrs. Sproessig is a homemaker.
The couple have four children, Timothy (Betsy) Sproessig of Columbus, Lesa (Daniel) Cleland of Columbus, Susan Thompson of Greenwood and Russell (Connie) Sproessig of Columbus. They also have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
