Earl Wayne Fiesbeck, 81, of Columbus, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.

Earl was born in Columbus Aug. 14, 1934, the son of Clifford Henry and Lula Scheidt Fiesbeck. He had lived on and farmed the family ground established by his grandfather when migrating to Bartholomew County. He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and a former member of Farm Bureau.

Surviving Earl are nephews and a niece, Leroy (Janet) Fiesbeck and David (Sally) Fiesbeck, both of Edinburgh, Frank (Karen) Fiesbeck of Columbus, Daniel (Angela) Fiesbeck of Edinburgh, Mike Strietelmeier of  Columbus, Gary Fiesbeck of Edinburgh, Larry Fiesbeck of Amity and Mary Lou Myers of Deputy; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Verna Strietelmeier; and brothers, Ralph and Merton Fiesbeck.

Earl’s funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Pastor Chad Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p. m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
