Jenny’s Picks – June 30

That’s right, we’re heading into another glorious three-day weekend, and one that’s loaded with events for everyone. YES Cinema is celebrating veterans with a free movie at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The flick? “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” Seating is limited at the theater, 328 Jackson St., with doors opening at 9:15 a.m. to veterans and their families, who also get in free. The morning also will feature information booths by Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum, the American Legion and the USO. Refreshments will be served. Information: 812-350-6206.

Another great way to start a three-day weekend is with art. Head to Artz Daze, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Washington Street for a free, hands-on outdoor art experience. No experience required. Information: 812-376-2539 and caac@artsINcolumbus.org.
