During the summer, some people have more time on their hands than during other parts of the year. And the need for volunteers rarely diminishes. So step up to one of these, or choose from more ideas on Page B?.

2 HOURS

WARM AND FUZZY FEELINGS: Animal Care Services needs volunteers for walking dogs, socializing cats, cleaning and more. Mid-day volunteers especially needed. Time: Two-hour shifts typical Monday to Friday. Information: Alyssia Burriss, 812-376-2505.

3 HOURS

DRIVE TIME: Mill Race Center needs four or five volunteer drivers to pick up patients at their homes and take them to doctor appointments. Must use own vehicle and be available for three-hour shifts. Information: Dan Mustard, [email protected].

4 HOURS

MAKE LIVES BRIGHTER: Love Chapel needs an unlimited number of volunteers to supervise residents staying at the new Brighter Days housing facility. Staff will be accompanying volunteers as well.
