Mary Alice “Toni” Starks, 90, of Columbus, died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Starks was born in North Vernon, Indiana, Oct. 5, 1925, to the late Melvin and Elizabeth Litzy Good.
Survivors include her daughters, Paula (the Rev. Ray S.) Ware of Indianapolis and Marcia Starks of Columbus; grandchildren, Sonja (Fred) Logan and Ray Erik Ware, both of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Tristan Frace of Petersburg, Pennsylvania, Jocara Ware, Aniya Fields-Ware, Trinity Irving and Atlas Erik Ware, all of Indianapolis; sister, Carlotta Ann Butler of Hamilton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Starks, in 1992; a stillborn son; and two sisters, Harriet M. Kyler and Frances E. Jones.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Ray S. Ware officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
