Bartholomew County REMC reports power outage

Bartholomew County REMC is reporting a power outage to 600 REMC customers near the Knollwood and Rockyford substations.

A car accident during the severe thunderstorm this morning may have been the cause of the outage, REMC officials said.

Duke Energy is responsible for the transmission line and is evaluating the situation.

Numerous traffic lights throughout Columbus are flashing red in all directions, including those along U.S. 31 between Central Avenue and Beam Road, Columbus police said.
