Juanita Morgan Taylor, 94, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away at 3:02 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana.
Born May 31, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas Henry and Jenny Lynn Jines Mars.
Juanita was owner and operator of Morgan Antiques in North Vernon and also worked at Jennings County Division of Family and Children. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was on the funeral meal committee for 25 years. She also was a former member of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers and volunteer Red Cross Gray Lady. She attended Bethel Baptist Church and the Wesleyan Church, both in North Vernon, and was a member of Home Economics Club. She enjoyed reading poems.
Survivors include one son, Roger Dale (Sharon) Morgan Sr. of North Vernon; three daughters, Patricia Ann Sullivan of Elizabethtown, Mary (Earl) Lindley of North Vernon and Barbara (Lester) Tracy of Seymour; nine grandchildren, Rex (Darlene) Sullivan of Greensburg, Annette (Gregory) Tucker of Osgood, Tammy (Dale) VonDielingen, Richard (Ken Sashko) Tracy and Trina (Nada Fowler) Tracy, all of Seymour, Roger (Anna) Morgan Jr., Scot (Rhonda) Morgan, Shawn (Kristen) Lindley and Deanna (Rob) Mull, all of North Vernon; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hershal, Charles and Forrest Mars; two sisters, Letha Simmons and Twylah Born; an infant son, Gilbert Eugene Morgan; and husband, Frank Morgan.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Caleb Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will be in Hayden Cemetery.
