Peggy Ann Peck, 69, of North Vernon, died at her home, surrounded by her loving family, at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Cremation is planned. A funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in Columbus.

Born October 2, 1946, in New Albany, Indiana, Peggy was the daughter of William and Katherine (Overton) Willis. She married Robert E. Peck January 5, 1990. He preceded her in death Oct. 6, 2015.

Mrs. Peck was a graduate of Bloomington High School and Indiana University in Bloomington. She retired from Jennings County Public Library. Prior to joining the library, she worked at the Indiana University main library in Bloomington. She had been a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority since 1999.

Mrs. Peck is survived by two daughters, Kelley Anderson of Broomfield, Colorado, and Robin Anderson of Indianapolis; one son, William (Traci) Anderson of Columbus; three stepdaughters, Jaris (James) Jones and Shannon Jackson of Detroit, Michigan, and Rosalind Thompson of Fort Wayne; one stepson, Robert (Candy) Peck of Bloomington; 14 stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Peck; father and mother, William and Katherine Willis; and two sisters, Nancy Clark and Rebecca Willis.
