Waycross Drive

The Rev. Paul F. Baldwin, 85, of Waycross Drive, died at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Brown County Health and Living Community.

Paul was born October 19, 1930, in Columbus, the son of Richard Leslie and Ada Taylor Baldwin. He married Lois M. Burkman February 4, 1978.

He retired as a minister after serving many churches and as a truck driver for Dolly Madison. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Paul and his wife, Lois, enjoyed singing at churches, nursing homes and people’s homes for many years.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Whited officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Burial with military honors will be at Rodney Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.

Survivors include his sons, Larry (Mary) Baldwin of Columbus and Wayne (Debbie) Baldwin of Montezuma, Indiana; daughters, Debbie (Donald) Grider of Butlerville, Cheryl (Michael) Corder of Elizabethtown and Jane (Fred) States of Columbus; brothers, Daniel Baldwin of Columbus, James (Jenny) Baldwin of Hartsville, Mark (Susan) Baldwin of Elizabethtown, Sam (Janet) Baldwin of Bradenton, Florida, and John (Carolyn) Baldwin of Columbus; sisters, Jean Dickinson of Franklin and Rachael (Delmar) Moore of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; brothers, Omer Baldwin, Robert Baldwin and Ray Baldwin; sisters, Lois Bilby and Kathryn Davis; and one great-grandchild.
