Columbus pharmacy robbed; police looking for suspect

Columbus police detectives are investigating a pharmacy robbery.

Police were called to the Walgreens at 2400 Beam Road about 4:10 a.m. Tuesday about a robbery, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

During the robbery, a man passed a note to an employee demanding medication and then fled the store a short time later with an unspecified amount of it, Harris said. No employees were injured during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a long-sleeve Colts T-shirt, a dark undershirt, black gloves and a blue “NTN” cap. Witnesses said the individual appeared to have dirt or soot on his clothing, Harris said.
