Melvin Charles Cathey II, 71, of Westport, died at 3 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.
He is survived by his companion, Hazel Dwenger of Westport; daughters, Cheryl Lindewald of Greensburg and Tracy (Darren) Wilson of Osgood; stepdaughter, Chris Adams of Osgood; sisters, Nancy (Tom) Menkedick of Westport, Joyce (Coolie) Callahan of Jacksonville, Missouri, Sarah (Eddie) Wright and Loretta (Jim) Works, both of Arizona City, Arizona; brothers, Howard (Betty) Cathey, Richard (Denise) Cathey, David (Donna) Cathey and Robert (Connie) Cathey, all of Westport; and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport, with cremation to follow. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
