Lights, camera, action: ‘Columbus’ movie casting director is looking for extras

If you think you ought to be in pictures, here’s your chance.

Jin and Casey LLC and On Location Casting are holding an open casting call from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at The Commons, 300 Washington St., for a range of paid, principal roles for the upcoming movie, “Columbus.”

The film is built on an original story about two young people who spend one summer discovering their purpose and future — and finding themselves amid the Midwestern mecca of design.

The independent film’s principal casting director will be at the downtown location seeking actors, including those with no previous experience. Cast and crew will begin shooting July 31 at various city locations for 18 days.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a valid photo ID and Social Security card. All applicants must be 18 years or older. Talent can begin lining up at 9:30 a.m.
