Jack Lee Snyder, 74, of Elizabethtown, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Jack was born March 29, 1942, in Bartholomew County, the son of Ralph F. and Bertha E. Khune Snyder. He married Angela M. Fillenworth January 4, 2014.
Jack was a graduate of Franklin College and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of East Columbus Christian Church and was past president of the Land Improvements Contractors Association. He served as a special deputy and member of the Sheriff’s Merit Board for 24 years and was a classic car enthusiast.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Bridgewater officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at Reddington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hilltop Christian Camp through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; daughter, Donna K. (Rick) Johnson of Columbus; a stepson, Greg (Debbie) Bray of Fishers; brother, Oliver F. Snyder of Columbus; grandchildren, Tiffany Snyder, Rikki Jo Johnson and Hannah Johnson; stepgrandchildren, Gavin, Ethan, Emily and Jessica Bray; Barb Snyder; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald L. Snyder; and an infant sister.
