James and Helen West of Nashville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their family from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the couple’s home, 7036 Justin’s Ridge Road, Nashville
Mr. West and the former Helen Salsman were married July 1, 1966, at Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Jesse Moody.
Mr. West is a retired Sieco/Strand engineer and Mrs. West retired from Fodrea Elementary School where she was a teacher’s assistant.
The couple have five children, Tim West, Tammy Hawkins, Terry West, Tony West and Tracey Lunsford. They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
