JOHNSON COUNTY — Motorists may experience brief lane closures on Interstate 65 in southern Johnson County this week as part of a project at the Big Blue River bridge located just north of State Road 252 (mile marker 80) near Edinburgh.
E & B Paving, the state’s contractor, plans to offload equipment at the Blue River job site Tuesday which will affect the southbound I-65 lanes at approximately 9 a.m. On Thursday, erosion control materials will be delivered which will affect northbound I-65 traffic. INDOT officials anticipate this closure to also occur around 9 a.m.
Indiana State Police will be at the site both days to provide assistance.
