The Johnson-Witkemper Insurance Biggest Block Party Ever, an evening of 12 bands of wide-ranging music and nine food vendors offering an equally wide-ranging variety, unfolds from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine, on Washington and Fourth Street in downtown Columbus.
The gathering, presented by the nonprofit Columbus Area Arts Council, serves as a fundraiser for the agency that both advocates for the arts and presents a mix of events. The block party features a collection of hands-on children’s games and activities, plus music ranging from rock to country to blues to Americana.
Admission is $8. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. Beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks are available for purchase.
