Phillip Michael Burton, 64, of Edinburgh, Indiana, died July 16, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana.
He was born Sept. 1, 1951, and was the son of Wilmer and Pearl Burton. He married Rita Ault on April 16, 1981.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; sisters, Beulah (Leonard) Littlejohn of Edinburgh, Sheila Hendrix of Edinburgh, Esther (Dan) Stanfill of Edinburgh and Vickie (Joey) Russell of Edinburgh; brothers, Dean (Kay) Burton of Edinburgh and Jeff (Melinda) Burton of Columbus.
He enjoyed Nascar, beer and walking his dog Brutus. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Justin Surface, with calling graveside at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July, 20, 2016, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Calling hours are graveside prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with the cost of funeral expenses.
