Prepare to shake your booty.

Tickets are available for KC and the Sunshine Band’s appearance at the Columbus Area Arts Council’s Rock the Park concert Aug. 13 at Mill Race Park.

The group — led by singer Harry Wayne Casey — is known for 1970s disco hits such as “(Shake Shake Shake) Shake Your Booty” and “That’s the Way (I Like It).”

The park, at Fifth and Lindsey streets, opens at 5:30 p.m. that day and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Local band Minefield Neighborhood will be opening act.

Tickets are available at the Circle K convenience store at 1720 N. National Road or online at artsincolumbus.org. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate.

Beer, wine and food will be available for purchase. No pets, outside coolers, food, or drinks are allowed into the park.

Organizers say people should feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
