Carol Sue Miller, 79, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

She had been employed at Cummins Engine Comapny before retirement. She loved to play the lottery and go to the casino.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral in Hope with Pastor Robert Reeves officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service time Wednesday.

Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery (west of Clifford).

Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice of charities.

Born July 16, 1937, in Shelby County, Carol was the daughter of Charles and Mary Frances Theobald Braunagel. She married Dale F. Miller October 28, 1966. He preceded her in death September 2, 2012.

Survivors include children, Peggy (Dean) Lane of Hope, Mike (Betty) Kelly of Columbus, Lorraine Brooks of Taylorsville and Kathy (Glenn) Cox of Columbus; stepchildren, Janet Enochs of Columbus and Sereta (Fredrick) Andrews of Nashville; grandchildren, Mikey (Tara) Kelly of Freetown, Craig (Jessica) Cox of Columbus, Brad Cox of Columbus and Jamie Brooks of Columbus; six grea- grandchildren; a brother, Conrad “Connie” (Jennie) Braunagel; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Butch and Sam Braunagel; and a stepson, Bart Miller.
