Westport
Jessica Ann Riddell, 76, of Westport, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Morning Breeze Health Care Center.
She was born November 27, 1939, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Robert Brinkman and Gladys (Wray) Brinkman Miller. She moved to Zenas at the age of 10 and had been a Westport resident since 1965. She graduated from Ivy Tech, with an associate’s degree in bookkeeping and accounting and had worked for D&R Sales and Service, Ranch Supermarket, Kroger and Anderson Grocery.
Mrs. Riddell was a Red Cross volunteer at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, a member of Rockcreek Baptist Church and the former Bakers Dozen Home Economics Club. She enjoyed making candy at Christmas and knitting.
She married Delbert E. Riddell in Bedford, Kentucky, on November 16, 1956. He survives along with her sons, Joseph Riddell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Daniel Riddell of Indianapolis and Robert Riddell of Nashville, Tennessee; her sister, Mary (Billy Joe) Deaton of Alert; her brother, Robert (Danna) Brinkman of St. Louis, Missouri; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with the Rev. Steve Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Butlerville Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
