Columbus City Utilities will close the westbound lane of Fifth Street between Jackson and Brown streets today and Friday for repairs.
The road will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. today through 4 p.m. Friday to allow the city to make repairs to the water main leak which occurred last week.
City officials are asking motorists to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
